SUNDAY 04/09/2016

Finally managed to get out with the camera again yesterday, after a real photography famine.
Started off at Marazion where the Buff- Breasted Sandpiper was showing well, also three Knot on the beach, other species Sanderling, Dunlin & Ring Plover did not catch up with the Curlew Sander Pipers or Little Stints.
Then on down to Pendeen for a bit of sea watching, plenty of Manx Shearwaters and a few Sooty Shearwaters also four Choughs dropped in on the cliffs right below us giving great views.
We then went on to Nanquidno, the best we could get here were two Blackcaps M/F and a Kestrel with a male Blackbird it had just predated.

DALMATIAN PELICAN 16/06/2016

Popped over to Point Quay at Devoran this morning overlooking Restronguet Creek, where the Dalmatian Pelican seems to have relocated from the west of the County.
This is the third attempt to try and get some decent images of this bird, arrived in thick fog, which started to lift after about 30 mins and located the Pelican quite a way out on the creek. I was using the 400mm lens with the 1x4 extender added still not the greatest of images but much better than any I got previously.
