OUT OF MOTHBALLS.

I have not been very active with my photo's or blogging over the last week, I did make a couple of trips up to Stithians Res but the Photo opportunities were few and far between and the weather has not helped, so far August is turning out to be a wash out.
I did manage to get the Moth trap out on one occasion, and the results were much better with 46 moths trapped some of which are new species for me.
So these are a few of the images over the last week, and I hope this weather improves soon so that  I can get out and about for a few more images.

ODDS AND ENDS

Went to Lands End again yesterday morning, and bird wise it was absolutely dead the only notable sighting was the Melodious Warbler and a few Chiffchaffs and Robins. So I have taken a few images from my last two weeks outings. So with the holiday at an end it was back to work this morning, and boy was it a long day  (seemed like a fortnight). So with the evenings drawing in there wont be so much time for  Photo's during the week.

MACRO MAGIC

So have just spent the last couple of days playing with a new toy, treated myself to a Canon 60mm EF S Macro Lens. So the post tonight is of some of the first images taken, and at the moment I am quite pleased with the results, but hope to improve in the coming days. All the shots were hand held using the 430ex flash unit.
The forth picture is incorrectly named, it is a DARK ARCHES not a Green- Brindled Crescent. Many thanks to John Swann for pointing this out to me. I sometimes find it difficult to indentify some of them due to them being very much alike. So thanks John I appreciate it.

STRANDED BY THE LIGHT

Oops sorry I have been so long putting up another post, But Time has flown this last week. Any way here we are again and hope to get a few small posts up most nights this week. I Have been very active with the camera over the weekend, and have a few hundred pics to sort through. So watch this space for an event That I attended on Saturday 8th August. As you may have noticed not all of my items are Nature related even though it is my favourite hobby. What I am trying to do is give a flavour of all the aspects of life here in Cornwall. So here are a few Moths from the weekends trapping.

MOTHS TRAP 20TH jUNE

I got the moth trap out at the weekend, and had a small quantity of moths about 23 in total. So here are some of my Back Garden catches, I have not named some as I have not had the time to identify them yet as I am uncertain of there names. So will try and put these on the post later. Not so much time at the moment as work is very busy and the garden takes up a lot of my evening time.
