So this morning I took a walk along part of an area known as the Great Flat Lode, this area runs along the Southern bounderies of Redruth and Camborne and gives extensive views of the old mine workings. I started the walk from Buller Hill at the end of Buller Downs along the lode for about 1 1/2 miles until I was overlooking the small village of Carnkie. So here are a few images of this mornings walk.

CLOSER VIEW OF THE CARN SHOWING THE MONUMENT AND CASTLE.

A great illustrated walk that, Monty.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy your walks and the Cornish scenery. I expect there has been a lot of chances in the area I grew up in.
ReplyDeleteEven after all these years, I get a little homesick now and then.
