MARAZION WADER FEST.

Awoke to a lovely sunny morning yesterday, and after checking the forecast which said heavy rain on Sunday decided to head off to Marazion for a spot of bird watching.
One big reason for going was that a couple of scarce waders had been reported ie: a Buff Breasted Sandpiper and a Baird's Sandpiper.
Arriving at Marazion it seemed the recent Southerly storms had washed lots of seedweed onto the beach, and this had brought large numbers of waders to feed.
Just a little way on the beach was a local birder John who was videoing the Buff Breasted Sandpiper.
So to cut things short I spent the next couple of hours taking over 200 shots of various species, but sadly the Baird's Sandpiper was not relocated.
Anyway below are a few images from the mornings shoot.

  2. Your images are wonderful! I spend a lot of time at the shore observing the migrating populations, but have never been able to capture them quite as well.
