ROCK PIPIT.
Quite surprised to see that this poor thing only had one foot, but it seemed  very happy and active flitting around with no signs of distress

YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER (COLLEGE RES 23/01/2015 ).

Just one image up today from a trip to College Res at Penryn Nr Falmouth yesterday of a Yellow-Browed Warbler that has been reported over the last couple of days.
Not the best of images I have captured, as it was keeping high up in large trees and not giving the best views.
Still it was another added to the year list which now stands at 107, so the new year looks like getting off to one of the best starts ever.

GREENFINCH & WATER RAIL STITHIANS RES 15/01/2015

Took a quick cold trip to Stithians Res yesterday morning to add a few species to the year list, which at the moment stands at 85.
Did not stay to long as it was quite cold and having a heavy cold at the moment was not feeling like to much birding.
Anyway needs must so managed to get another four species added, it was very nice to see Greenfinches as the ones I used to have on my feeders at home seem to have been wiped out by the virus a couple of years ago.
The Water Rail is normally around the feeder area though rather wary and is gone at the slightest of movement, but I guess it was Hungary as it was very obliging.

SELECTION FROM THE HOLIDAY SEASON 2014/2015

Well I finally have a few images to add to the blog, But firstly ' VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR' to everyone and hope you all had a good holiday season.
So needless to say the weather at this time of year is certainly not good for photography, I have managed to get out on a few occasions over the last few weeks but the photos have been few and far between.
So I have put together a selection of shots from those times, and hope the weather gives us a few breaks and more opportunities.
