MORE BACKLOG IMAGES 23/07/2013

A few more from the backlog of images over the last week or so, taken at various locations, including Gwithian, and Tehidy Country Park.
In another few weeks the Autumn migration should start to build so it will be good to get a few birds back on the blog, but its frightening how time flies.
Right gotta fly, just had a call from Brian there's a Two Barred Crossbill at Croft Pascoe on the Lizard and he is picking me up shortly. Mmmm when does this migration start?

Footnote
So its now early evening and having made the trip down to the Lizard this morning I feel that I owe everyone an update on the trip. Arrived at Croft Pascoe around 10.00am and parked then entered the track into the woods. About 2 metres  in it all started to happen, we were attacked by hordes of Horse flies that were determined to devour us. these tenacious great flies kept this up all the way around the plantation, and I only had on Tee Shirt and shorts, Brian fared little better even though he was wearing long trousers.
So after all most one circuit we met another birder Andy and he gave us the best gift I've ever had INSECT REPELLENT, which stopped the little blighters in their tracks. So now we gave it another go and did a second circuit, and you guessed it we didn't see a single Crossbill, and to cap it all that was the hardest Blood giving session I've ever done.
