MARAZION & ST GOTHIAN SANDS 01/05/10.

Sunday 2nd May 2010
Time 06.30 am.
Weather Cloudy, Frequent Heavy Rain Showers.

Up at 05.30 this morning the plan was to go to Lands End for the Black Headed Wagtail. but upon looking out of the window decided to wait to see if the weather cleared. Its now 07.30am and still no change so have decided to give it a miss for today as I only had limited time this morning, as our two oldest Grandchildren are coming over and they will be a much better alternative.

Anyway all is not lost as yesterday I got out for a few hours to Marazion, Hayle Estuary and St Gothian Sands. It was a very pleasant morning Dry and bright with a light Westerly Breeze. No great rarities around but did get some nice passage Whimbrel's on the beach. Still the weather is supposed to get better next week so if the BH Wag is still around I will try for it then. So will leave you this morning with a few of Saturdays Images.

Great photos Monty! Particularly the Geese in flight. There were Whimbrel at Draycote recently, sadly I didn't see them.

  4. Hi Monty. Well at least you captured a nice selection....nearly everything was hiding away from the camera early this morning. Hope the weather improves for you soon. Cheers FAB.
